Absolutely amazing place to stay in Zanzibar, what makes this place special? A part of the position all the local staff people which they are really friendly and make you feel you are at home away from yours. Food delicious, fresh and a lot of different option every day! Asantesana :)”

  • Loved it!

Loved it! The garden was beautiful, the pool was great, the room was also beautiful and the food amazing. The staff was welcoming, they helped us with early check in and late check out at very good prices, they have a tuk tuk taxi for Nungwi and Kendwa and they are very intent to make you enjoy your stay.

We loved the location because there are more locals than tourists and you can really see how everyday life is on the island.”

  • Little gem of Nungwi, Zanzibar!!

We found this gem by chance after a disastrous start to our trip. (We were left on the street without accommodation after everything was booked and paid for and they sold hotel... The Sun Beach hotel) we walked of the street into Maisha Hotel and from the very first moment the staff was fantastic!! Friendly, helpful, kind! And the hotel itself is absolutely stunning!! About 70m from Nungwi beach!!! They have Tuktuk service at hotel and Robert(our driver) was brilliant!! But have to say from the managers to cleaning staff were very very friendly and accommodating! Will reccomment Maisha Hotel Nungwi to everybody here in South Africa as well as on all social media platforms!!

  • Super nice hotel, highly recommend! The rooms are very clean (the daily cleaning leaves the room like check in clean, it's so nice). The two pools are well maintained and great to hang out by. Really good food with daily dinner menu being different daily. Great breakfast, best I've had in Zanzibar! The beach club (1 min walk away by the beach, obviously) has a great view and cabanas, as well as daily evening entertainment for dinner - which is also good! And the staff is amazing, all of them! We traveled with a baby and they went out of their way to accommodate us, big thanks to all of you! Will definitely come back 👌 Habitaciones: Spacious and very clean Actividades cercanas: Their beach club Seguridad: Felt very safe Viabilidad peatonal: 1 min walk from the beach and their beach club Comida y bebida: Good variety, good price and very tasty Detalles importantes: Offers really good massage!”
